The metro rail phase 2 construction has been taken by the State Government Of Telangana instead of giving it to public private partnership who has constructed phase 1. The Phase 2 detailed project report is given by Delhi Metro Rail corporation. Hyderabad Metro Rail will cover total distance of about eighty five kilometers.
- Line 1 which means red line is an extension from Miyapur to Patancheru which includes BHEL and other stations that covers over 15 kilometers and takes 9.3 minutes for travelling.
- Line 1 which means red line is an extension from LB Nagar to Hayath Nagar which covers over 7 kilometers and takes 4.3 minutes for travelling.
- Line 2 which means green line is an extension from JBS to Alwal that covers over 8 kilometers and takes 5.0 minutes for travelling.
- Line 3 which means blue line is an extension from Nagole to Shamshabad RGI Airport which includes LB Nagar and Falaknuma that covers over 28 kilometers and takes 17 minutes for travelling.
- Line 4 from Raidurg to Shamshabad RGI Airport which includes Gachibowli that covers over 30 kilometers and takes 19 minutes for travelling.
- Line 5 from Miyapur to Lakdi ka pul which includes Gachibowli and Tolichowki that covers over 20 kilometers and takes 12 minutes for travelling.
- Line 6 from Taranaka to ECIL ‘X’ Roads that covers over 7 kilometers and takes 4.3 minutes for travelling.
